What you will do
The manufacturing department is at the center of our operations processes in Breda. The team of 170 motivated colleagues, divided over 10 production lines, plays a vital role in Amgen’s mission: to serve patients. With over 15 different medicines and combination products, which are shipped to 75+ countries worldwide, there is a lot of complexity in our manufacturing processes. In this vital role, you will manage the performance of our teams and readiness to face future challenges in manufacturing. You will:
- Own planning & organization (time, staff, lines, materials, equipment).
- Organize and lead team meetings, shift handovers & problem-solving sessions.
- Divide work/tasks by providing clear guidance and instructions to the team.
- Drive continuous improvement with the team, and act as facilitator & coach.
- Lead investigations in collaboration with quality and maintenance to resolve challenges.
- If necessary, help out on the lines and support the production process.
