Lead JAVA Developer

At WoonVeilig and Egardia, we are looking for a passionate Lead Java Developer who thrives on managing new developments. The IT team consists of talented individuals, including a Manager IT & Security, App and Java Developers, DevOps Engineers, an App Designer, a Tester, a Product Owner and a Project Manager. Together, we are dedicated to developing, improving, and maintaining innovative products and services aligned with our brand, philosophy and technical architecture.



Conditions

  • A full-time equivalent position of 32-36 hours per week, with a salary up to €6.000,- based on a full-time contract.

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in backend development using Java.
  • Knowledge and experience with tools and systems such as Spring Boot, REST API, Tomcat, Hibernate, MySQL, GIT.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL).
  • Experience in building APIs.
  • Comfortable with Linux CLI and Amazon Web Services.
  • Familiarity with best practices for securing systems (e.g., encryption, access control, OWASP guidelines).
  • Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and message queues.
  • Experience with (low-level) programming or developing software that interacts directly with hardware (e.a. integrating software with smart home devices)
  • Passion for security, smart home technology, and new techniques.
  • Optional: Experience with WebRTC and live-streaming solutions (Wowza, FFmpeg, Red5, Evostream, etc.) and related protocols (RTMP, RTSP, RTCP, RTP, etc.).
